Big Green: green roofs

Has anyone ever had a "green roof" installed as an alternative to a traditional roof? Is anyone considering it in the future? We are a plantscape company and I'm not trying to sell our services as we've never done a green roof, but I am interested in your experiences (good or bad) with green roofing.
