Big Green: vinyl roofing...

What are the current thoughts out there on vinyl roofing?  My initial
reaction is to always stay away from vinyl products whenever possible.
Arguments in favor of a vinyl flat roof that is being discussed (IB Roof
Systems) have been:

1. durability (25 year warranty)
2. low cost (25 - 30% less than conventional torch down) and ease of
application
3. how much worse can it really be compared to a petroleum based torch down
4. white, high reflective surface reduces heat gain on the building
5. Energy Star rating wouldn't back something that isn't green
6. Much less volume to dispose of at the end of its life, as compared to
built up torch down

While I have debated many of these, I'm looking for some input from the
experts....thoughts???
