Big Green: cleaning linoleum

Have read a lot of pros and cons for sealing linoleum 
(Marmoleum).  None persuasive either way.  The problem with sealing 
is the need to completely strip the sealer should there be subsequent 
wearing.  In a residential entry can anyone suggest persuasively that 
a sealer is truly necessary?  Have read for instance, the seams 
require this finish.  And yes, I've had conversations with the 
manufacturer as well but these have been countered with experience, 
much of it negative.    SL
