I'm looking for information independent of the manufacturer, including any personal experience people have with performance.

Is cotton insulation a viable choice to replace fiberglass on a large hospital? I'm hearing that the r-value and STC are unconfirmed, that there are performance issues, and that the fire retardants may be toxic.
