I agree about agriculture. It was chosen for recycled-content and superior (at least as advertised) sound attenuateion. Fiberglass has been projected as the next asbestos for respiratory illness.

How was it determined that cotton is more sustainable than fiberglass or other alternatives?

Agriculture isn't exactly low impact and I thought cotton was rather bad for depleting the soil too.

Is cotton insulation a viable choice to replace fiberglass on a large hospital? I'm hearing that the r-value and STC are unconfirmed, that there are performance issues, and that the fire retardants may be toxic.
