You might check out the Univ of Maryland's Solar Decathlon competition entry
( the LEAF house) : see www.solardecathlon.org and/or their own web site.
There was a fairly innovative dehumidification system in the house. You
might have to contact the faculty leaders for the project to find more info.

Lee-
I have never installed one of these systems but we had planned to use a
dessicant dehumidification system on a project in which we used solar
hot water as the energy to dry out the dessicant- you could try talking
with John Spears at (301) 428-1040 as he is very experienced with
dessicant dehumidification and might be able to point you towards some
good systems.

Does anyone have any recommendations for energy efficient
dehumidification in humid climates? We are a general contractor
designing a 4000 square foot education center in steamy Maryland, and
energy efficiency is a top priority. Any thoughts?
Thanks! Lee
