Big Green: Dehumidification

    Solar A/C systems dehumidify before they cool. It is far far easier to
cool dry air. The cooler dry air is less prone to mold & mildews and smells
much fresher. Cooled dry air is far less chilly on rainy days. Cooled dry
air is more comfortable on hot days. There is a system like this at Ft. Sam
Houston here in San Antonio.
    I'm unsure of what is done with the water that is removed or how, but I
know it is recirculated for use in the cool down process. Certainly there
are other processes that it can be used for. San Antonio is humid, but no
where nearly as humid as MD.
