Big Green: pioneers of green building--who are they?

I may have missed seeing him on someone else's list, but how about Randy
Croxton?  

He and his firm did the Audubon Society headquarters and the NRDC
headquarters (among others), pioneering examples of green buildings.  

I heard him do a presentation in the mid 90s, and he was talking about doing
green buildings because it was good for the company, and good for the people
who used the buildings, things that I've since heard repeated often by
USGBC.
