Hi Sandra,

There is a book called Outdoor Atmospheric Corrosion
edited by Herbert Townsend that cites studies done
concerning Pb runoff from architectural materials. This
Google link:

http://books.google.com/books?id=D2NusSsgY34C&pg=PA266&lpg=PA266&dq=%22concern+over+the+effects+of+lead+has+resulted+in+numerous+studies%22&source=bl&ots=zgUfa4MNS-&sig=xk6ICq_RTOQVS50iJhaTpGUt8MI&hl=en&ei=hofPSumhEoallAeJqIypCg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1#v=onepage&q=%22concern%20over%20the%20effects%20of%20lead%20has%20resulted%20in%20numerous%20studies%22&f=false
below

will take you to a page in the book citing these reports.
If there is a problem with the very long web address
wrapping properly, paste the following into a search
engine to bring up the link: "concern over the effects of
lead has resulted in numerous studies"
We try to use Zinc coated or painted flashing where
possible.
Please share anything interesting you may dig up!
